NOS GALAXIES
Close-up portrait of a couple, human—but perhaps not. The woman with pink hair glances at the man sideways, looking in love. He smiles at us with all his teeth, clearly happy. To their left, hidden behind a blue plant, a man with red hair spies on them—envious? In the background, several massive planets share the sky; this is not our usual Solar System.
The man’s mid-length hair intertwines with the surrounding vines and plants—“Like the ties that bind you to me,” she whispers. He laughs. Strange scarlet patches on his chest, clusters of planets like tiny solar systems to explore? Or stress-induced eczema: “not everything is so rosy”?
Our galaxies, those of our couple, their systems, their suns and moons, their worlds, bonds, axes, and big bangs. And the third character who will stir discord, the hidden otherness lurking. The jungle of emotions, the roots of our attachments, but love—above all love—is the only center of gravity.
