Sophie-Gaëlle Martin

Sophie-Gaëlle Martin, or Sofigael M.,
is a contemporary French artist,
painter, poet, and visual creator,
living near Paris and originally from
Boulogne-sur-Mer, on the Opal Coast.

Passionate about drawing from an early age, the artist attended the École des Beaux-Arts in her hometown during adolescence, while also training in photography.
Holding a Master’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Applied Administration and Economics, she worked in Paris for several years as an executive in digital communication and as an institutional photographer.
In 2022, Sofigael M. discovered in the practice of oil painting a life-saving space of freedom where questioning reality, critical thinking, and philosophical inquiry converge. Painting immediately became a vital necessity for her.
Driven by the desire to fully return to artistic creation, Sophie-Gaëlle initiated a major turning point in her career in 2024: she resumed studies in graphic design and chose to dedicate herself to developing her work as a painter-artist.
Son travail a été distingué sur la scène artistique internationale : en 2025, elle figure, à deux reprises, parmi les finalistes et les demi-finalistes du concours de peinture international Tartget Prize, dans la catégorie « Imaginatif et Fantastique ».
In 2026, she again earned a place in the semi-finals.


Sofigael M. has also twice received the Certificate of Artistic Merit from the Luxembourg Art Prize, in December 2024 and more recently in December 2025, during her participations in the international competition.
Her work is also published in ArtMajeur Magazine and awarded “Editor’s Choice” on the ArtMajeur platform.
She is also represented by Murmuse, which exhibits selected works in luxury establishments in France and internationally.


In April 2026, her work was featured in Nevadart magazine, issue no. 6 • Spring 2026, in the “Emerging Talents to Discover” section.
In June 2026,
Sofigael M. was selected following the international call for applications "Brise+Surrealm" to be featured in the Summer Solstice 2026 edition of the Swiss magazine Obscyra.
