Broken mirror
"Hey, who's that old lady with the drooping eyes and double chin in the photo?"
"Who's that lady from behind, with the granny dress and the big behind, in your video?"
"Wait, I can't see very well, I'm going to get my glasses."
Some of you, who are about my age (generation X) and older, have certainly already experienced this phenomenon. We don't see ourselves getting older, not changing, we stay in our heads, always the same. And yet when we bump into each other by chance, abruptly, impromptu, it's someone else we see, someone we don't recognize right away, a stranger.
"But who are you, ma'am, you who look so tired and sad", "Hello sir, be careful, your belly is sticking out of your jacket". Then in a flash of lucidity, we perceive fragments of ourselves, familiar, and that's it, we found who it was!
I painted this picture shortly before my 50th birthday, a few months ago. All my support to generation X 😉
