A tender scene: a young woman and a beautiful exotic bird gently landing in her hand. Behind them, a wildlife sanctuary. A man huddles behind the window. On the roof, a cat. Both seem to be watching for their prey, the young woman and the bird. Wild animals are not what we think. Humans and felines, uncontrolled predators, must be kept away, confined, so that the young woman and the bird can find refuge and safety. Unless, of course, it is the woman who, imprisoned in the sanctuary, is, in our societies, caged and spied upon.
