You, the man in the black hat, I know you’re standing there, in the dark,
You, who haunts my nights, I see you in the shadows, near the wardrobe.
You want me to hear the screams of horror, the cries of pain.
You wait for me to drift off for a moment,
to arrive gliding.
And I, paralyzed, will let you weigh down with all your weight.
And you will suffocate me, little by little.
You’ll sneer, as every night.
I don’t want to fall asleep, no, I cannot!
It’s your big hat that I see.
I will not sleep.
