Biography
Sophie-Gaëlle Martin
Sophie-Gaëlle Martin, or Sofigael M.,
is a French visual artist,
painter and illustrator,
living near Paris and originally from
Boulogne-sur-Mer, on the Opal Coast.
Passionate about drawing from an early age, the artist attended classes at the School of Fine Arts in her hometown during adolescence, while simultaneously training in photography.
She holds a Master’s in Business Management and a Master’s in Applied Economics. After several years working in Paris as a visual and digital communications executive and institutional photographer, she refocused her career on graphic design and artistic creation.
Her work has been recognized on the international art scene: in 2025, she was both a finalist and a semi-finalist in the international painting competition TARTGET PAINTING PRIZE, in the “Imaginative & Fantasy” category.
Sofigael M. has also twice received the Certificate of Artistic Merit from the Luxembourg Art Prize, in December 2024 and more recently in December 2025, during her participations in the international competition.
