Extrasolar utopias

In the series Les Utopies Extrasolaires, and its sub-series Nebula Bay, Sophie-Gaëlle Martin explores dystopian universes fueled by science fiction and cosmology – a kind of contemporary Twilight Zone – where exoticism is merely a deceptive backdrop, concealing the catastrophe brewing beneath.

Tsunamis, droughts, exile to another planet: her characters, confronted with the collapse of their familiar world, remain resilient, retaining that subtly sexy and defiant No Future punk attitude of the 1970s and 1980s.
