Sophie-Ga\u00eblle Martin<\/strong>, or Sofigael M.<\/strong>,
is a contemporary French artist,
painter, poet, and visual creator,
living near Paris and originally from
Boulogne-sur-Mer, on the Opal Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passionate about drawing<\/strong> from an early age, the artist attended the \u00c9cole des Beaux-Arts<\/strong> in her hometown during adolescence, while also training in photography<\/strong>.

\n\nHolding a Master\u2019s degree in Business Management and a Master\u2019s degree in Applied Administration and Economics, she worked in Paris for several years as an executive in digital communication<\/strong> and as an institutional photographer<\/strong>.

\n\nIn 2022, Sofigael M. discovered in the practice of oil painting a life-saving space of freedom where questioning reality, critical thinking, and philosophical inquiry converge. Painting immediately became a vital necessity for her.

\n\nDriven by the desire to fully return to artistic creation, Sophie-Ga\u00eblle initiated a major turning point in her career in 2024: she resumed studies in graphic design<\/strong> and chose to dedicate herself to developing her work as a painter-artist<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Son travail a \u00e9t\u00e9 distingu\u00e9 sur la sc\u00e8ne artistique internationale : en 2025, elle figure, \u00e0 deux reprises, parmi les finalistes <\/strong>et les demi-finalistes<\/strong> du concours de peinture international Tartget Prize<\/strong><\/a>, dans la cat\u00e9gorie \u00ab\u00a0Imaginatif et Fantastique\u00a0\u00bb.

In July 2026, she again earned a place in the semi-finals.<\/p>\n<\/div>

In June 2026, Sofigael M. was selected following the international call for applications \"Brise+Surrealm<\/strong>\" to appear in the Summer Solstice 2026<\/em> edition of the Swiss magazine Obscyra<\/a><\/strong>.

\u201cSofigael M.\u2019s multidisciplinary practice explores existential uncertainty, human psychology, and the fragile boundaries between reality and perception. Through surreal oil paintings influenced by narrative figuration, pop culture, and the aesthetics of the 1970s and 1980s, Sofigael M. creates symbolic scenes filled with dark humour, social critique, and emotional tension. Her vivid compositions portray characters facing personal and collective upheavals, reflecting on resilience, belief, disillusionment, and the search for meaning within a changing world.\"

Sofigael M. has also twice received the Certificate of Artistic Merit<\/strong> from the Luxembourg Art Prize<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, in December 2024 and more recently in December 2025, during her participations in the international competition.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Her work is also published in ArtMajeur Magazine<\/em><\/strong> and awarded \u201cEditor\u2019s Choice\u201d<\/strong> on the ArtMajeur<\/a><\/strong> platform.
